Nick moved to Calgary in 2002 after graduating with an HBA from Richard Ivey School of Business
(“Ivey”) at the University of Western Ontario. In 2005, after some time at Overlord Financial Inc.
(which became Aston Hill Financial), he evolved into the role of Investor Relations Manager & Financial
Analyst and completed the short Strategic Management of Investor Relations Program at Ivey.
Nick returned to Ivey and completed his MBA in 2008 while graduating on the Dean’s List.
During the program, he co-organized a class trip to Omaha, Nebraska to spend a memorable day with
Warren Buffett. Shortly thereafter, Nick accepted the role of Senior Business Development Associate
with Kinder Morgan in Calgary, which he held until leaving in 2012 to help structure the first competitive
process for an electricity project at the AESO.

From 2013-2018, Nick worked at Keyera Corp., beginning as a Corporate Development Advisor before
transitioning to the role of Manager of Investor Relations for most of the term. During his tenure in
IR at Keyera, Nick helped execute all aspects of the investor relations program and developed
relationships with research analysts at 15 covering institutions. In early 2018, Nick transitioned
to the cannabis industry as the Chief Strategy Officer & SVP Capital Markets at High Tide Inc.
(CSE:HITI). Since joining the company, he led its go-public process on the CSE, negotiated a total
of 8 domestic and international acquisitions, and otherwise helped shape the company’s corporate
strategy as a newly public company.

In his personal time, Nick enjoys playing golf as a member of The Winston (formerly The Calgary Elks)
and his travels currently span 47 countries across four continents. Nick has been the Treasurer of
CIRI Alberta since 2017, is on the Board of Directors for the Oneball Charitable Cancer Organization
and also volunteers on an advisory committee for the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra.
