Rick is a Managing Director and global head of the Corporate Insights Group within Credit Suisse’s
Investment Bank & Capital Markets division, providing the firm’s clients with strategic advice around equity
market valuations, M&A and financial policy. Rick and his team research, write and publish Credit Suisse
Corporate Insights, a periodic series that examines topics of interest to our corporate clients.

Rick has 20 years of experience in strategy and corporate finance advisory with clients in the US, Europe
and Asia, including 3 years with Deloitte and 17 years with Credit Suisse. He has experience on numerous
ECM and IPO deals around the world, including SIG Combibloc, Schneider, REV Group, Alion, MPS, Axalta
Coatings, SFS Holding, HD Supply, Berry Plastics, Rexnord, Roundy’s, Perform, Enel Green Power, Christian
Hansen, Orior, Gerresheimer, Petrofac.

In addition, he has experience advising companies on buy and sell-side M&A and defense, including Dana,
Dematic (sale to Kion), Lockheed Martin (purchase of Sikorsky), Solvay (purchase of Cytec),
Platform Specialty (numerous acquisitions), Aerovironment (defense), Mauser (sale to financial sponsors),
Wellstream (sale to GE), Unitymedia (sale to Liberty Global), Ciba (sale to BASF), Poundland
(sale to financial sponsors), Smiths Aerospace (sale to GE), Rexam (numerous acquisitions).
Rick holds graduate degrees in law from Syracuse University and finance and economics from
Columbia University.
