Rhylin Bailie, Vice President, Investor Relations, Equinox Gold Corp. 
Rhylin Bailie has been the Vice President, Investor Relations of Equinox Gold since 2016 and brings a diverse skill set to her role, with 14 years in investor relations and 25 years of experience in the mining industry. From 2011 to 2016, Rhylin managed all aspects of investor relations for a number of TSX-V listed resource companies. Previously Rhylin was Director of Investor Relations for NovaGold Resources from 2006 to 2011 and prior to that held various positions in the Treasury group at Placer Dome from 1995 to 2006. Rhylin is a graduate of the University of Waterloo with a degree in environmental studies and biology. She is Chair of the BC Chapter and a director on the National Board of the Canadian Investor Relations Institute.


Camilla Bartosiewicz, Vice President, Investor Relations, Altus Group Ltd
Camilla Bartosiewicz is Vice President, Investor Relations at Altus Group Ltd., (TSX: AIF), a leading provider of software, data solutions and independent advisory services to the global commercial real estate industry. She is an award-winning investor relations (IR) executive with over 12 years of experience in implementing strategic IR programs for publicly traded issuers, including special situations communications around mergers and acquisitions, shareholder activism, equity and debt offerings, restructurings, executive transitions, business model transitions, and crisis situations. Camilla has established relationships with a number of global financial institutions and serves as corporate spokesperson and first point of contact with shareholders, financial analysts and the broader investment community. She has a proven track record of executing strategic investor relations programs that result in effective investor outreach, solid stakeholder relationships and, ultimately, improved shareholder value. Under Camilla’s leadership, Altus Group has been the recipient of multiple IR Magazine awards.

Prior to joining Altus Group in 2014, she served as Director of Investor Relations and Corporate Communications at North American Palladium, a dual listed resource company that has subsequently been acquired. Earlier in her career, Camilla worked as a consultant at Kingsdale Communications Inc. and at Barnes McInerney Inc. where she advised clients on IR and special situations communications. Camilla holds a B.A. Hons in Media Studies from the University of Guelph and a Diploma in Public Relations from Humber College. She currently serves on the board of the Ontario Chapter of the Canadian Investor Relations Institute (CIRI) and is a regular presenter on IR-related topics at industry seminars, conferences and in post-secondary schools.


Adam Borgatti Senior Vice President, Corporate Development & Investor Relations, Aecon Group Inc.
Adam Borgatti is Senior Vice President, Corporate Development and Investor Relations, responsible for leading Aecon’s Investor Relations, Corporate Affairs, Corporate Communications and Marketing functions, as well as supporting the leadership team with developing long-term business plans, evaluating strategic initiatives, and leading the assessment and execution of Aecon’s acquisition opportunities. Adam brings a depth of experience and knowledge of both capital markets and the construction industry.

Prior to joining Aecon in 2009, Adam held leadership roles in the financial industry, including Vice President, RBC Capital Markets, and Vice President, National Bank Financial. Before assuming his current position at Aecon – in 2017-18, he served as Vice President, Investor Relations, at Scotiabank and was responsible for leading all aspects of investor relations, providing strategic direction, leadership and oversight for the company’s investor relations portfolio globally.

Over his career at Aecon, Adam has held leadership roles in the Energy and Infrastructure segments, Strategic Finance division, and previously served as Vice President, Corporate Development and Investor Relations. Adam holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Finance and Entrepreneurship from McGill University as well as CFA and CPIR designations. He is a member of the Board of Directors for the Canadian Investor Relations Institute (CIRI) and serves as Audit Committee Chair.


Adam Buckham, Associate Director, Equity Research, Scotia Capital Inc.
Adam Buckham is the Associate Director of Equity Research at Scotia Capital Inc. He covers the cannabis sector at Scotiabank GBM, providing in-depth industry- and company-specific analysis on all aspects of the cannabis supply chain. He rejoined Scotiabank GBM in late 2019 from a boutique investment bank, where he was involved in the start-up of cannabis research for the firm. Adam began his capital markets career in Equity Research at Scotiabank GBM, working as an associate in a number of sectors, including the healthcare and specialty pharmaceuticals sector and transportation and aerospace. He holds an MBA and a BSc and is also a CFA charterholder.


Paul Butcher, Vice President, Investor Relations, Canadian National Railway Company
Paul Butcher joined CN in 1993, initially working as a project officer in Financial Planning before moving to Marketing in 1999, serving in the Revenue Planning, Metals and Minerals, as well as Intermodal groups. He was involved in key growth projects at CN such as the new container port at the Port of Prince Rupert, among others. Prior to his most recent appointment, Paul had been Senior Manager of Investor Relations since November 2009. Before joining CN, he worked two years as an economist in Ottawa at Informetrica Limited. Paul
holds a Bachelor and Masters degree in Economics from the University of Montreal.

 


Milla Craig, Founder & President, Millani
Milla Craig is Founder and President of Millani. After 15 years in institutional equity sales with RBC Dominion Securities and Scotia Capital, Milla moved into the field of ESG integration and corporate sustainability, and was actively involved in the development of corporate sustainability strategy and management for a variety of Canadian organizations in her role as Deloitte’s Leader – Sustainability for the Quebec Region.

Milla and her team now help asset owners, investment managers, and companies apply Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) issues to reduce risks and create value, through capital market experience and independent advice.

Milla is a board member of the Responsible Investment Association (RIA) and Co-President of the Steering Committee of the Finance and Sustainability Initiative of Finance Montreal. Milla was also part of the Sustainable Accounting Standards Board’d (SASB) Financial Sector review and past Chair of the Water Committee of the International Women’s Forum’s Montreal Chapter.

Milla was recently honoured as the top performer in the consulting category by receiving Canada’s Clean16 Award for 2017, and last October delivered a compelling TEDx Montreal Women talk on ESG Integration.


David Frost, Partner, McCarthy Tetrault
David S. Frost is a partner in our Business Law Group in Vancouver and Co-Chair of our National Life Sciences Group. He practices in the areas of corporate/commercial law, securities and corporate finance with a focus on financings, mergers and acquisitions and corporate governance. David specializes in the Life Sciences, Technology, Fintech and Consumer Products and Retail industries. David regularly advises private and public issuers and dealers on cross-border, U.S. and domestic public and private offerings of equity and debt, including initial public offerings, bought deal financings and secondary  offerings. He also advises public companies on general securities law matters, including continuous disclosure obligations and other regulatory compliance issues. David regularly acts for Canadian, U.S. and international acquirers and targets on domestic and cross-border merger and acquisition transactions and take-over bids. He also advises Canadian and U.S. venture capital investors in connection with the structuring and implementation of domestic and cross-border investments.


Indi Gopinathan, Vice President, Investor Relations & Corporate Communications, IAMGOLD Corporation
Indi Gopinathan is Vice President, Investor Relations & Corporate Communications at IAMGOLD, responsible for corporate marketing strategy and communications between the Company and its equity and fixed income investors, Analysts, other members of the financial community and media, in addition to corporate communications strategy and oversight.

Indi has over 20 years of experience across the mining industry life-cycle: through the exploration, project development and operating stages, and from the perspectives of engineering, logistics, information technology, finance and capital markets. She holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Toronto (UofT) and an MBA from Queen’s University. She is a designated P.Eng. and CPA, CMA.

For 5 years concluding in 2019, Indi taught Mineral Economics at UofT’s Lassonde Institute. She is a past Board Member of the university’s Engineering Alumni Network and BizSkule speaker series. In 2018, she received the UofT’s Arbor Award, the university’s highest honour, for outstanding volunteer service with impact.


Peter Haynes, Managing Director, TD Securities
Peter John Haynes, CFA, is the Managing Director, Index Products at TD Securities Equity Research. He is a part of the institution equities team, and provide index and market structure research. In addition, he handles relationship management for a few key Ontario-based institutional investors. Peter joined the firm in June 1995. Previously, he was responsible for equity derivatives sales and portfolio trading. Prior to this, he worked for one year at Credit Lyonnais, marketing global equity derivatives to Canadian investors.

Peter started his career at the Toronto Stock Exchange, spending six years in their index and derivatives marketing department, involved in both retail and institutional efforts to develop the listed Canadian index products and equity derivatives business. He is ranked number 1 by Brendan Woods in every year since 2004. Peter is a CFA charterholder. He graduated from the University of Western Ontario in 1989 with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics.


Mélanie Hennessey, F.CIRI, Vice President, Corporate Communications, NOVAGOLD Resources Inc.
Mélanie Hennessey is NOVAGOLD's Vice President, Corporate Communications, responsible for all aspects of the Company's internal and external communications functions and investor relations activities. Mélanie has extensive experience within the precious metals mining industry particularly in investor relations, corporate communications, crisis management as well as mergers and acquisitions. She is a public speaker advocating for stakeholder engagement, the advancement of individuals aspiring to executive-level positions and women in leadership roles. Prior to joining the Company, she served in a variety of executive and senior roles with such precious metals companies as Goldcorp Inc., New Gold Inc., and Hecla Mining Company. Mélanie holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications and earned a Masters of Business Administration degree from the University of Ottawa.


Yvette Lokker, President & CEO, CIRI
Yvette Lokker is the President & CEO of the Canadian Investor Relations Institute (CIRI). Yvette joined CIRI in 2008 as the Director of Communications and Professional Development and was promoted to Vice President in the fall of 2011. In addition to her many accomplishments, Yvette was responsible for establishing the first investor relations certification program in North America in partnership with the Richard Ivey School of Business. Prior to joining CIRI, Yvette was the Manager, Investor Relations at MDS Inc. where she assisted in developing and directing the investor relations strategies and activities for seven years. Yvette has a BSc. in Chemistry and a Business Diploma from Wilfrid Laurier University. She has completed the Strategic Management of Investor Relations program at the Richard Ivey School of Business and the Canadian Securities Course.


Amy Luchkovich, Partner, Accounting Advisory Services, KPMG LLP
Amy has extensive experience supporting clients in a variety of industries with the application and interpretation of accounting standards. Her role includes advising clients on challenging, complex issues arising from transactions, business decisions and regulatory changes. Over the past few years she has led numerous revenue and leases accounting change projects in addition to delivering ad hoc and transaction specific accounting advice. Amy works cross functionally, in particular providing advisory assistance in conjunction with KPMG’s Transaction Services practice for both buy-side and sell-side financial due diligence engagements and other pre and post-transaction related accounting matters. She also has provided audit and business advisory services to publicly listed entities, including financial reporting framework conversions (U.S. GAAP and IFRS), public offering documents, and GAAP comparisons.

Amy’s experience includes secondments with KPMG's International Standards Group in London, KPMG UK’s Accounting Advisory Service practice and as a practice fellow for the International Accounting Standards Board. Prior to that Amy was a Senior Manager in Audit as well as a member of KPMG Canada’s Department of Professional Practice.


Ali Qureshi, Executive Director, Institutional Equity Sales, CIBC World Markets
Ali Qureshi has been in Equity Sales at CIBC since May 2012 supporting a broad range of investors, ranging from traditional long only mutual funds to the newly launched long/short strategies as part of the liquid alts product initiative. Ali is engaged across the capital structure, but primarily focused on Canadian, US and International equities through in-house CIBC research and International research partners Piper Jaffray in the US, Peel Hunt in the UK, Kepler Chevreux in Europe, and CIMB in Asia. Prior to joining CIBC, Ali started as an Equity Research Associate at UBS in February 2002 covering Consumer Industrials and Transports, before moving to Equity Sales in November 2004. Ali completed his CA and CFA designations after completing the Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Toronto.


Susan J. Soprovich, Principal & Founder, Phoenix Strategies
Susan Soprovich is Founder and Principal of Phoenix Strategies with over two decades of experience in finance and communications from both a corporate and consulting perspective. In this role, she provides strategic counsel and tactical assistance to domestic and international companies across the petroleum, mining, real estate, consumer products, technology and performing arts industries.

Her expertise in capital markets, finance/accounting, investor and public relations and marketing enables Susan to successfully plan and execute strategic communication campaigns and guide companies through special situations including mergers/acquisitions, shareholder activism, public/ private offerings and restructurings. Over her career, Susan has been part of the executive leadership team providing strategic counsel and communications to companies such as Stream Oil & Gas Ltd., Bankers Petroleum Ltd., and Fording Canadian Coal Trust.

Susan is dedicated to sharing knowledge through various national speaking roles, and has been actively involved in the Canadian Investor Relations Institute for almost 20 years. She has received several awards for her work in investor relations and communications, as well as the CIRI Award for Outstanding Contribution. Susan is a Certified Public Accountant and holds an Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Manitoba and a Certificate of Public Relations from Mount Royal College.
