Mike McAllister,VP Corporate Development, Sierra Metals Inc

Mike McAllister is a mining specialized investor relations professional who joined the sector in June 2010. Currently, Mike is working with Sierra Metals as their Vice President of Corporate Development and Investor Relations.  Previously, Mike has worked for Avion Gold, Savary Gold and Black Iron in their Investor Relations and Corporate Development programs. Previously Mike worked at BMO Capital Markets in the Investment Banking, Metals & Mining Group.

 

 

Greg Secord, Vice President, Investor Relations Open Text Corporation

Greg Secord is Vice President, Investor Relations for Open Text Corporation with responsibility for relations with sell-side analysts and institutional investors. Mr. Secord has 20 years of IR experience in both North American and European capital markets, and has managed IR through over 50 acquisitions. He has consulted, advised and counseled many industry leaders including some of the largest technology and insurance companies in Canada. He has created presentation materials for the Toronto Stock Exchange to educate executives of newly listed companies on the fundamentals of best practices IR. He has also been quoted in industry trade publications and is a published contributor to post-secondary text books on business and accounting. He is the recipient of numerous IR Magazine Awards in Canada including for Best Investor Relations Officer, Best Overall Investor Relations, Best Use of Technology and Best Investment Community Meetings. Mr. Secord is incoming chair of NIRI’s Senior Roundtable, and is a past board member for NIRI’s Virtual Chapter, and the Canadian Investor Relations Institute (Ontario).

 

Samantha Taccone, Investor Relations Specialist, CGI (Moderator)

Samantha Taccone is an Investor Relations professional at CGI who contributes to the fair valuation and perception of CGI among the investment community. Samantha believes that strong fundamentals and effective two-way communication yields investor interest, and ultimately increases share price. Through consist messaging, transparent financial disclosure, and relationship building, Samantha has supported the growth of CGI’s shareholder base and analyst coverage. Additionally, she sits on the board of directors for the Canadian Investor Relations Institute (CIRI) Ontario Chapter. Samantha holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Toronto and a Master of Science in Investor Relations from Fordham University. She is also a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma international business honors society.

 

Richard Tse, Managing Director, Technology Analyst National Bank Financial Markets

Having worked in the technology sector for over 15 years, his experience gives him a wide range of perspective from operations to valuation. Richard has been consistently ranked a leader among his peer group in industry surveys; mostly notably Brendan Wood International’s “TopGun” research.  In addition, he has won numerous Starmine | Thomson Reuters awards related to stock picking.  His research is referenced in national and international publications. Having begun his technology career at Nortel, his technology research career began with Merrill Lynch’s Global Technology Team. In addition, Richard was recently a partner with one of Canada’s largest independent investment banks. That broad background provides a unique perspective to his research coverage. A graduate of the University of Toronto (now known as Rotman Commerce), Richard also holds CA, CPA, and CFA professional designations.

 

Ruth Winker, Corporate Communications Director, Jamieson Wellness

Ruth Winker has spent over a decade in communications leadership roles, in both media and consumer packaged goods companies. She joined Jamieson Wellness (formerly Jamieson Laboratories) in September 2010 as the company's communications and publicity manager. Ruth worked on the IPO of Jamieson Wellness, and took on the investor relations role when the company went public in July 2017. Prior to joining Jamieson, Ruth worked in communications and public relations at several Toronto radio stations. An advocate for her industry, Ruth is the Chair of the Communications Committee of the Council for Responsible Nutrition, a Washington D.C.-based trade association for dietary supplement companies. Ruth is currently enrolled in the 2018 CIRI/Ivey CPIR designation program.
