ON: Economic Outlook 2020 - Mid-Year Update

By popular demand, a follow-up to the January economic outlook event given the unprecedented impact of COVID, please join Avery Shenfeld, Managing Director and Chief Economist at CIBC as he provides his take on the markets for the remainder of 2020 and how it impacts IROs and their corporations.

What is the outlook for the Canadian, U.S. and Global economies in 2020 and into 2021? Will there be a second wave? Will commodities continue to surge? Are low interest rates here to stay? What impact will government stimulus have on the economy longer term? How will the Trump stance on the pandemic and trade tariffs ultimately affect the Canadian economy? What is the fate of the energy sector? Do big tech companies like Amazon have too much power? If you're curious about answers to these questions and more, join us for an informative hour with one of Canada's most renowned economists.
